SALISBURY

A design of Louis XVI character, depicting lily of the valley, roses and ribbons, warp printed on a heavy six-ply silk. The warp printing process, of great technical complexity, produces a beautiful and almost impressionistic effect in which the edges of the design appear to dissolve into the ground cloth a quality of extraordinary refinement that no other method of printing can replicate.
