Chambord
A large-scale hand-blocked damask of considerable grandeur, Chambord draws its roots from 17th century France, interpreted through the lens of an early 20th century document of great authority and presence. The design celebrates everything that hand-block printing does that no other process can replicate: the depth of colour, the slight irregularity of repeat, and that unmistakably ethereal quality that only a human hand can produce. Rich with scrolling foliage, formal flower heads and the architectural confidence of the French decorative tradition at its most assured, Chambord is offered in three colourways, each chosen to honour the drama and distinction of the original.
La Glycine
Reproduced from a 19th century design discovered on a chair cover in the Jean Monro archive, La Glycine is among the most technically accomplished fabrics the house has produced. The original, dating to circa 1890, was block printed on glazed cotton using twelve large fruitwood blocks inlaid with felt and pins, with twelve dye colours applied in layers to create twenty-three distinct shades. That process of overprinting, faithfully honoured in the reproduction, gives La Glycine its characteristic depth and softness of colour. Sprays of wisteria climb and trail across the repeat with the effortless ease of an English garden in early summer, offered in five colourways from the palest porcelain to the deepest damson.
Tivoli
Tivoli weaves together two of the most enduring elements of the English decorating tradition: the botanical stripe and the statement floral. A parrot tulip of great beauty and botanical precision climbs through a softly coloured stripe, the two working together with a layered richness that feels entirely of a piece with the English country house interior. Equally assured used alone, where the stripe carries the scheme with quiet elegance, or alongside the larger florals in the collection, where it provides a considered counterpoint of real decorative depth. Available in three colourways, Spring, Summer and Autumn, each named for the season its palette most naturally evokes.
