RADCLYFFE STRIPE

From a design for a woodblock by Thomas Clarkson, dated 1863, for which the original artwork still exists. Only the most minimal alteration to scale has been made to meet modern printing requirements. A ribbon meanders through stripes of dianthus, while a charming secondary stripe of maiden's hair ferns runs between them. Radclyffe Stripe is among the most enduringly popular designs in the collection.
