Taken from the original sketch for a woodblock design of 1876, in which the colours were no more than roughed in. New colourings have been produced in nature's own shades, giving this design a freshness that belies its age. Heather and Hortensia has a botanical directness and quiet English character that sit naturally in rooms of every period.
