AMHERST handblock

A chinoiserie design of rare distinction, first produced in January 1918. Printed entirely by hand using around 120 block lays per metre, Amherst is offered in two colourways: Famille Verte, inspired by oriental porcelain, and Plumage, which takes its name and palette from the plumage of the Lady Amherst pheasant. A design of considerable complexity and quiet magnificence.
